The Women's Ministry for Church in the Canyon, LIFT (Ladies in Fellowship and Teaching) meet monthly for Bible Study and Breakfast with the emphasis our activities, both at that time and ongoing during the month , are in Bible Study, Fellowship and Outreach/Mission to our community..
Food for Thought:
In a study we enjoyed together on Prayer "When God's People Pray" it encouraged us to consider how are we are approaching God as we face the challenges of our lives:
- To what extent are we drawn to God, eagerly praying and anticipating His blessing?
- To what extent do we try to face challenges on our own, without God's help? What is the result?
- To what extent are we confident that God will keep his promises and meet our needs when we call on Him?
Sisters, God loves you deeply and longs to be in relationship with you. His blessings are tangible and life-changing and He makes those blessings available to everyone who call on Him. Starting today, call on God with your whole heart! Tell Him your needs, desire, hopes, and dreams. Pour out your heart before Him and invite Him into your life situation." Memorize Philippians 4:6-7

- Monthly Breakfast and Bible Study – 4th Saturday of each
month from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. We are currently studying the Book of Esther together! We would love for you to join us! - Sew What? – Sewing and Needlework fellowship at a
member's home in Calabasas – 2nd Monday of each month
from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Bring your projects and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and fellowship with Sisters! - Christmas Event – We enjoy and evening together at a member's home to
include food, fun and fellowship! You are invited! - Various activities such as retreats and other fun events throughout the year to emphasize the ministry goals of LIFT which are mission, Bible study, outreach and fellowship!
- We welcome you to join us as we enjoy a weekend away together at the Women of Faith Seminar in Anaheim! Next year will be September 9th and 10th, 2011 at the Honda Center! The topic for the Weekend is Over the Top! And it will be over the top we can assure you of that! Please plan to be with us! Contact us for more information.
