Church in the Canyon at 4235 Las Virgenes in Calabasas invites the community to join us for an inspirational, FREE movie night for couples on January 22, 2010 at 7 P.M. "Fireproof" a movie which was a hit in the Theaters in 2008 was named the  No. 1 inspirational film of 2008. Popcorn and Free childcare will be provided.
 
Our church is committed to be an encouragement to couples in our communities as they work through the stresses faced by many today during these tough times.  Following the movie there will also be an opportunity to join us for weekly classes on Relationships on Sunday mornings beginning January 24th at 11:15 a.m. following the 9:30 Worship Services. There will also be sign ups for ongoing Bible Study classes with Fireproof materials. 

According the website Outreach.com "when it opened in theaters nationwide, FIREPROOF touched the hearts and impacted the marriages of millions of moviegoers. Despite playing in fewer than 1,000 theaters each week, the film opened at No. 4 and remained in the top 10 for three weeks (followed by two more weeks at No. 11)! The Love Dare, originally a plot device, became the No. 1 bestseller on the New York Times paperback advice list.

From Dr. Phil to Dr. Dobson, from FamilyLife Today to the Today Show, FIREPROOF provided a forum to remind America of God's design for marriage and relationships.

FIREPROOF the movie is in part about "appreciating the God-designed differences between men and women, how God's love enables us to love, breaking free from temptations, unconditional love and forgiveness."
